Changing your Wine Habit!

Since leaving my traditional lifestyle in Toronto for a new chapter, I’ve had the spaceand time to explore ways of living that bring me peace and joy. At a crossroads, I realized I needed to really reconnect with myself—a journey that has been both challenging and revealing.

For years, I compromised my own needs for others, and suppressed so many feelings and now I’m learning to heal and rediscover who I truly am.

Along the way, I’ve embraced practices that have opened doors to deeper self-awareness and well-being.

One practice that has been particularly transformative is incorporating Blue Lotus, a gentle form of plant medicine, into my routine.

It has replaced old habits like unwinding with wine, which I did regularly. While wine provided temporary relaxation, it was more about escape than mindfulness. In contrast, Blue Lotus has become a practice that is intentional that helps me deepen self-awareness, connect with my emotions, and embrace the present moment.

The effects of Blue Lotus are subtle yet deeply transformative. Unlike the fleeting euphoria alcohol provides, Blue Lotus fosters lasting emotional clarity and calm, without the haze or "fuzziness" that drinking often leaves behind. It offers physical benefits as well, such as relieving tension, improving sleep, and supporting healthy circulation—without the risks of liver damage or weight gain associated with alcohol.

Over time, I’ve found it to be far more enriching than alcohol, fostering long-term emotional and spiritual growth without the negative physical consequences.

I once viewed drinking wine as a form of "self-care," but it never provided the deeper connection I sought with myself. In contrast, Blue Lotus is rooted in ancient spiritual traditions, and I believe there is a reason the Egyptians valued it for its natural ability to promote clarity and connection. This plant medicine not only fosters a profound link to my inner self but also offers a sacred connection to the broader collective.

As I continue this journey, I’m reminded that true peace and happiness come from practices that nourish the mind, body, and soul—not just temporary relief, but lasting transformation. If you would like more information reach out to my friend Helen, in my book she is the Queen of Blue Lotus
